China's foreign minister held call with Pakistan counterpart - Xinhua
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi recently held a call with his Pakistani counterpart, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, to discuss regional peace efforts and coordination. During the conversation, Dar provided an update on Pakistan’s mediation initiatives between the United States and Iran, expressing appreciation for China’s support. Wang commended Pakistan for its role in facilitating dialogue and extending a temporary ceasefire, emphasizing sustained cooperation to restore regional stability.
In a separate address at the United Nations, Wang reiterated China’s commitment to advancing U.S.-Iran negotiations and safeguarding regional energy infrastructure and security. He highlighted the need for all parties to remain committed to peace and to continue working toward a resolution of the ongoing conflict. China has maintained communication with key stakeholders and regional partners to support a peaceful outcome.
Earlier this year, Wang also met with Dar in Beijing, where they discussed the broader context of Middle East tensions and the importance of Pakistan’s mediation efforts in serving the common interests of all parties. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and advancing a shared vision for regional peace.
