Kongsberg Maritime says Jan Erik Hoft will serve as acting CFO

Kongsberg Maritime has announced that Jan Erik Hoff will serve as acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) following the completion of the company’s demerger from Kongsberg Gruppen ASA. The transition is part of broader organizational changes as the maritime technology firm moves toward its planned stock exchange listing on Euronext Oslo Stock Exchange, expected to occur in April 2026.

Mette Toft Bjørgen, who previously served as CFO of Kongsberg Gruppen, will assume the CFO role at the newly listed Kongsberg Maritime at the time of the demerger. Meanwhile, Martin Wien Fjell, who has extensive experience in financial and operational leadership within Kongsberg, will take on the role of CFO for the consolidated Kongsberg entity, which includes Defence & Aerospace and Discovery.

In the interim, Jan Erik Hoff, currently Group Vice President for Investor Relations and Sustainability, will step into the acting CFO role. Hoff has been actively involved in Kongsberg Maritime’s recent Capital Markets Day, where the company outlined its financial ambitions, including 10% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over a five-year cycle and a gradual improvement toward a 16% EBITDA margin.

The demerger and listing process is progressing according to an indicative timeline, with demerger plan expected in December 2025 and an extraordinary general meeting scheduled for January 2026.
