Bitfarms: Appoints Edie Hofmeister as Chairman of the Board

According to Mars Finance, on January 14th, Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms announced the appointment of Edie Hofmeister as Chairman of the Board, succeeding Brian Howlett, who has served as Chairman since 2024. Howlett will remain as an independent director. Bitfarms stated that this personnel change is part of the company's redomicilification strategy, aimed at improving accessibility to the US capital markets, expanding its US investor base, and enhancing its eligibility for inclusion in certain stock indices. In January, Bitfarms sold its Latin American business for $30 million, continuing its transformation towards AI and high-performance computing.
