United Arab Emirates welcomes reaching of trilateral framework agreement under auspices and support of United States regarding Lebanon

The United Arab Emirates has expressed support for the recent trilateral framework agreement signed by the United States, Lebanon, and Israel, which aims to establish a path toward a lasting peace agreement between Lebanon and Israel. The agreement, announced on June 27, 2026, outlines disarming non-state armed groups, particularly Hezbollah, and for restoring Lebanese sovereignty over all Lebanese territory.

Under the framework, Lebanese forces will assume security responsibility in two designated pilot areas, with international support for reconstruction efforts and the safe return of displaced civilians. The United States has pledged $100 million in humanitarian aid and $30 million in reimbursement to Lebanon for military capacity-building.

The UAE’s endorsement of the agreement reflects broader regional support for diplomatic efforts to stabilize the region and reduce conflict-related economic disruptions. The deal is seen as a potential catalyst for long-term economic recovery in Lebanon, which has faced significant displacement and infrastructure damage due to ongoing hostilities.
