Apple has reportedly become concerned over the leak of confidential documents related to its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models, which have surfaced on the dark web following a cyberattack on Tata Electronics. The incident, confirmed by Tata Electronics, involved a "cybersecurity incident" that led to exposure of over 200,000 files, including component design specifications and internal communications. While Apple has not publicly commented on the breach, a source close to the company told Reuters that it is conducting a full investigation.

Among the leaked documents are schematics for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, including detailed board layouts and information on the A20 Pro chip and the C2 modem, codenamed Ganymede. These files, verified by AppleInsider, confirm previously rumored specifications and suggest that incremental improvements in processing and display security. However, color options and design elements remain redacted.

Tata Electronics, which also supplies Tesla and other major technology firms, has stated that its operations remain unaffected by the breach. The company has not confirmed whether it has received a ransom demand, as is common in such cyberattacks. The leaked files have been available on the dark web since at least June 10, according to cybersecurity researchers.
