A Lehigh Carbon Community College trustee said a data breach was the cause of an IT disruption that caused the Schnecksville, Pa.-based school to close for more than a week. He said the college is not yet sure whether any data was lost. The college's campuses were closed all of last week due to the issue. LCCC's main site resumed operations Mar. 10. The school said its three other sites will remain closed through Mar. 14. The college said it is working towards reopening, and that the forensic investigation and restoration efforts remain ongoing. LCCC serves more than 9,700 credit and 4,100 noncredit students each year from its main campus and modern sites in Allentown, Tamaqua and Lehigh Valley International Airport. Full Story
