Silver Point Finance, a subsidiary of Silver Point Capital, L.P., has completed the $398 million SCF CLO II, a collateralized loan obligation focused on middle market senior secured loans. The CLO, managed by Silver Point Specialty Credit Fund II Management LLC, was oversubscribed and raised capital from a diverse group of institutional investors. Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and GreensLedge Capital Markets LLC served as lead placement agents.
This marks Silver Point Finance's second middle market CLO issuance, reflecting continued demand for private credit solutions in the current market environment. Edward Mulé, Co-founder and CEO of Silver Point Capital, noted the significance of institutional investor support amid evolving conditions. As of February 2023, Silver Point Finance had arranged approximately $19.0 billion in direct loans to middle market companies and held ~$11 billion in investible assets under its Specialty Credit Fund platform. The firm's broader credit platform, as of January 2023, managed over $22 billion in investible assets, with a team of 270 employees, including 90 investment professionals.
