Tata Elxsi - receives tax demand of 15.8 mln rupees for AY 2025–26
Tata Elxsi has received a tax demand of 15.8 million rupees for the assessment year 2025–26, according to a recent communication from the company. The demand is part of the ongoing tax assessment process and reflects the tax liabilities for the period under review.
The company has demonstrated consistent financial performance in the early part of the current fiscal year. For Q2 FY26, Tata Elxsi reported operating revenue of Rs. 918.1 crores, with a 2.9% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase. Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose by 9.4% QoQ to Rs. 214.7 crores, while PAT increased by 7.2% QoQ to Rs. 154.8 crores. The transportation segment, which accounts for over 53% of the company’s revenue, reported 0.7% QoQ growth in Q2 FY26.
In Q1 FY26, the company reported operating revenue of Rs. 892.1 crores, with EBITDA at Rs. 186.7 crores and a margin of 20.9%. PBT stood at Rs. 196.3 crores, with a margin of 21.1%, and PAT at Rs. 144.4 crores, with a margin of 15.5%. The transportation business, representing over 50% of the company’s revenue, showed 3.7% QoQ growth in Q1 FY26.
The tax demand of 15.8 million rupees is expected to be addressed through the company’s standard financial and compliance processes. Tata Elxsi has historically maintained strong operational and financial discipline, with a focus on margin improvement and sustainable growth across its core verticals.
