Amsterdam, October 14, 2024 - Netflix is gearing up for a significant expansion into the Dutch market in 2025 with an array of new films and series. This announcement was made at the Next on Netflix event in Amsterdam, hosted by Elise Schaap, where attendees were treated to a preview of what's to come. Among the highlights is Netflix's first Dutch reality series, featuring Yolanthe Cabau as she shares insights into her life. Additionally, a series adaptation of the bestselling novel The Dinner Club by Saskia Noort is in the works. The event also provided updates on previously announced projects set to debut in 2025, such as the female-led cast of Haantjes, which includes Jennifer Hoffman, Jelka van Houten, Fockeline Ouwerkerk, Eva Laurenssen, and Frouke Verheijde. Alongside these local productions, popular international series like The Night Agent, Wednesday, Black Mirror, and Stranger Things are also slated to make a return in 2025.

Series based on The Dinner Club by Saskia Noort Netflix has announced a new project: a series based on Saskia Noort's bestseller The Dinner Club. The screenplay is by Dorien Goertzen, who is known for Nieuwe Buren and Swanenburg.

The female cast of Haantjes announced Jennifer Hoffman, Jelka van Houten, Fockeline Ouwerkerk and Eva Laurenssen join the cast of Haantjes and play the partners of Jeroen Spitzenberger, Waldemar Torenstra, André Dongelmans, and Benja Bruijning. Frouke Verheijde has also secured a role in the series; she plays Benja's daughter. In Haantjes, we follow Mike, Daan, Ivo, and Greg, a close-knit group of friends who feel lost in the modern world. Each of them finds themselves amid a crisis about masculinity and humorously tries to salvage the remnants of their relationships and careers.
