Bhutan, in partnership with Matrixport, has launched the gold-backed token TER project to advance digital financial infrastructure development.

Mars Finance reported on December 11th that the Gleephu Mindfulness City Authority (GMCA) announced the appointment of Matrixdock, a RWA platform under Matrixport, as the core tokenization technology partner for its upcoming gold-backed token, TER. Matrixdock will be responsible for building the underlying tokenization technology framework for TER, leveraging its technological expertise in gold tokenization and institutional-grade RWA infrastructure to support GMC in building a verifiable, transparent, and digital-first financial system. With this collaboration, Matrixdock will become one of the earliest technology providers globally to enter a national-level RWA scenario. The pilot program for a sovereign gold stablecoin will not only lay the foundation for Bhutan's digital financial architecture but also has the potential to become a standardized benchmark for the industry in the future. Against the backdrop of national-level RWA projects, these pilot programs will have a profound impact on market fundamentals, technological pathways, and governance models, providing the entire industry with a new source of "pricing systems."
