A malware attack caused IT disruptions in Passaic County government offices, including no phone service, the county announced. “Our team is actively working with federal and state officials to investigate and contain the issue,” read a statement that Passaic County emailed to NorthJersey.com and posted on Facebook. “We will provide updates as soon as the situation has been resolved.” Earlier in the morning of Mar. 4, Passaic County alerted residents on social media and on their website that their phone lines are currently down.
