PANews reported on January 16th that Gate Research released the "Key Data on Spot Listings in Gate 2025," which analyzes market feedback across multiple time windows, from 5 minutes to 30 days after listing, based on 447 new assets newly listed on Gate's spot market in 2025. The report points out that in a market environment of high volatility and high supply, for trading platforms, listing new assets is not just about covering more assets, but also tests their comprehensive capabilities in project selection, liquidity organization, transaction processing, and price discovery efficiency.

From a supply structure perspective, Gate.com listed 447 new spot assets in 2025, including 318 first-time offerings (28 of which were exclusive) and 129 non-first-time offerings. First-time offerings accounted for approximately 71%, with new supply throughout the year primarily consisting of first-time offerings. In terms of first-day performance, approximately 54.8% of assets closed higher within 24 hours, with the average increase for the sample of rising assets reaching approximately 635% in 24 hours. Breaking down by type, first-time offerings showed higher median returns in the early trading window: the median increase for the entire sample of first-time offerings in the 24-hour window was 12.56% (excluding extreme cases of 8.03%), significantly higher than the 1.18% for non-first-time offerings (excluding extreme cases of 0.86%). Exclusive assets showed more concentrated early performance: nearly 80% (22/28) closed higher within the first 30 minutes, with a median increase of approximately 81%, and more than one-third of exclusive assets achieved a gain of ≥100% within 30 minutes.
