NCP: Offering of five sports clubs to investors - Al-Riyadh, Abha, Al-Fateh, Al-Tai, and Al-Shoulla
The Ministry of Sport in Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), has announced five sports clubs offering—Al-Riyadh, Abha, Al-Fateh, Al-Tai, and Al-Shoulla—to potential investors as part of the Sports Clubs Investment and Privatization Project. This initiative is a key component of the country’s broader strategy to enhance private-sector participation in the sports sector and align with Saudi Vision 2030.
The clubs have completed all necessary regulatory procedures and are now available for acquisition. Investors are invited to submit expressions of interest and qualification documents by July 5 through the NCP’s official website. The selection process considers the readiness of each club and the preparedness of prospective investors to ensure a sustainable transition.
To date, over 80 expressions of interest have been registered across 22 clubs, reflecting strong engagement from both local and international investors. The offering process typically takes between eight and ten months once interest is received for a specific club. The project also includes ongoing negotiations for other clubs, such as Al-Najmah and Al-Akhdoud, with contract-signing stages currently underway.
