Netflix Reveals New Indonesian Film ‘The Shadow Strays’ by Timo Tjahjanto

Netflix announces an upcoming action film project with Timo Tjahjanto, known for The Night Comes For Us and May the Devil Take You, among others. The acclaimed director’s latest work was action comedy The Big 4 (2022), which charted on our Global Top 10 Non-English Films List in the first week of its release. 

The Shadow Strays features young and talented actors such as Aurora Ribero (Like & Share, Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens), Hana Malasan (Ben & Jody), Ali Fikry (Nussa, Satria Dewa: Gatotkaca), Adipati Dolken (Posesif, Why Do You Love Me), Kristo Immanuel (The Big 4), Andri Mashadi (KKN di Desa Penari, The Big 4), Taskya Namya (Waktu Maghrib), Agra Piliang (Serigala Terakhir, Galih & Ratna), Daniel Eka and Tanta Ginting (Star Syndrome, Balada Si Roy), as well as Malaysian actor Chew Kin Wah (Check the Store Next Door, Buya Hamka), veteran actor Arswendy Bening Swara (Autobiography, Missing Home), Hiroaki Kato (Ivanna), Nobuyuki Suzuki (Soekarno, Nagabonar Jadi 2), and many more. Timo says, “I am thrilled to be working with this incredibly talented group in an exciting project with Netflix.”
