The profiles of thousands of people who joined a white supremacist dating site have been leaked online after it was hacked. An anonymous hacker broke into WhiteDate and deleted it – but not before downloading 100 gigabytes of data. Livestreaming the moment at the annual Chaos Communication Congress in Hamburg, Germany while dressed as a pink Power Ranger, the German hacktivist – styling herself as ‘Martha Root’ – said the site’s security was so weak it ‘would make even your grandma’s AOL account blush’. She extracted 8,000 profiles and posted them online – though the total number is believed to be much higher.
