The Warren County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) in Kentucky says their employees and family members were impacted by a cyberattack. On Dec. 20, 2025, the sheriff’s office, based in Bowling Green, detected suspicious activity on its computer network. They began an investigation with assistance from nationally recognized cybersecurity and data forensics consultants to secure its network and investigate the incident. They also alerted federal law enforcement. During the investigation, the WCSO determined that cybercriminals accessed its network, copied and then removed some data from its network. The affected personal information varies by individual and includes name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, and health insurance identification number. Warren County has a population of around 128,000. Full Story
