Sagility acquires CareSeed to accelerate AI-led quality ops
Sagility, a leading tech-enabled healthcare operations and transformation company, has acquired CareSeed, a U.S.-based healthcare analytics firm specializing in NCQA-certified HEDIS quality reporting, medical record review, and regulatory analytics for health plans. Founded in 2012 and based in Kansas City, Missouri, CareSeed serves 30 small and mid-sized U.S. payers, with a Medicare Advantage market presence. The acquisition is intended to expand Sagility’s healthcare quality and Stars capabilities, supporting its broader vision of moving health plans toward integrated, member-level quality orchestration.
CareSeed’s cloud-native platforms, Forecast and Harvest, are designed to improve HEDIS performance, streamline medical record review workflows, and manage regulatory requirements. By integrating CareSeed’s technology with Sagility’s clinical services and AI-led transformation capabilities, the combined entity aims to deliver an end-to-end quality operations continuum. This includes support across the full quality lifecycle—from HEDIS abstraction and reporting to prospective gap closure, provider engagement, and continuous performance monitoring.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Sagility’s position in the mid-market payer segment while expanding opportunities to offer scalable quality and Stars solutions to larger national health plans. Sagility, which serves over 80 healthcare clients, including seven of the top 10 U.S. health plans, has emphasized its commitment to embedding analytics, automation, and AI into operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
