Solana co-founder: No more official GitHub commit permissions; the network is moving towards true decentralization.

According to ChainCatcher, at the Solana Breakpoint conference, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko stated, “My favorite thing about decentralization isn’t the absence of leaders, but rather the abundant emergence of leaders. Over the past five years, so many people have stepped forward—from foundations, labs, and community members who weren’t even part of these initial organizations, builders of applications and protocols—and they’ve truly taken on leadership roles for the entire network. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even have GitHub commit permissions anymore, and I only need two minutes to speak on stage. My goal is to be in the audience—I think that means seeing the entire network truly mature and have its own life. I’m incredibly proud of that.”
