DiagnoS Grants, adopts semi-annual reporting

DiagnoS Grants, a grant management platform, has transitioned to a semi-annual reporting schedule for its grantees, aligning with evolving best practices in the field of grant administration. This shift reflects a broader trend among funders to reduce administrative burdens while maintaining accountability and transparency in grant performance and financial reporting.

Under the new semi-annual reporting framework, grantees are required to submit progress and performance reports twice per year, typically aligned with key project milestones. This approach allows for more strategic use of reporting data while minimizing the frequency of submissions compared to quarterly or monthly requirements. The change is intended to focus on long-term outcomes rather than short-term deliverables.

The decision follows recommendations from industry surveys, which highlight that overly frequent reporting can be perceived as a lack of trust and may detract from programmatic work. By adopting a semi-annual schedule, DiagnoS Grants aims to foster stronger grantee relationships and encourage more meaningful dialogue around program impact and sustainability.

Grantees are still required to submit detailed financial reports, including expenditures, obligations, and cash transactions, in accordance with federal and institutional guidelines. These reports are typically submitted through online systems such as the Payment Management System (PMS), which facilitates timely and accurate submissions.

The semi-annual reporting model also aligns with the requirements of the Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System (FAPIIS), which mandates semi-annual disclosures for recipients with awards exceeding $10 million. This ensures compliance with federal transparency and accountability standards while reducing the administrative load on grantees.

DiagnoS Grants has emphasized that the new reporting schedule will not compromise oversight or compliance. Instead, it is designed to enhance the utility of reporting data for both funders and grantees, supporting more informed decision-making and strategic grantmaking.
